I feel that some of "orde baru" political systems can be cherry picked to enhance what we have now (of course, I'm not talking about the KKN or the 32 years regime)
1.We don't elect president directly.
I feel that electing president directly isn't really fair and good. Our people are very diverse and vast, it's hard for all of them to know all presidential candidate equally and make decision objectively. We should pick representative from our area instead to make the decision for us in the DPR and MPR.
2.DPR and MPR elect president and president must report to them
This can act as a control mechanism and deepen relationship between them.
3.DPR reports to MPR
This is also a control mechanism and if MPR reject DPR report, we can make a rule so that failed DPR won't be able to run in the next term.
4.MPR doesn't have direct control of the government
Although have the ability to accept/reject DPR report, MPR doesn't really have direct control of the government. This is really good, make sure that nobody have absolute power.
5.GBHN and PELITA
A clear direction for our nation that span 25 years. RPJP does not even come close.
So what do you all think about this?
